Te first ever Edinburgh Colleges’ Festival, the largest student-led Further Education event in the UK.
The Festival will demonstrate the imaginative and exciting work of students and also celebrate their academic achievements over the past year.

This has been organised through the combined effort of Edinburgh’s Telford College, Jewel & Esk College and Stevenson College Edinburgh.

This stylish apartment forms the ground and lower ground floors of a magnificent Georgian “A” listed building, circa 1800, situated in Edinburgh’s renowned New Town. Built in stages over a period of some 85 years, between 1765 and 1850, the New Town is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and retains much of the original Neo Classical and Georgian period architecture.

The property is approached via stone steps to an immaculate entrance hall with flagstone flooring, pillars and ornate cornicing.

Once in the flat, the welcoming and spacious reception hall with polished flagstones, spiral staircase and cornicing provides access to all rooms on the ground floor.

Royal Crescent is conveniently situated in the east of the Georgian New Town. A cosmopolitan range of shops, restaurants, galleries and bars is close at hand, together with Harvey Nichols, John Lewis, Jenners and the designer shops of Multrees Walk and George Street. The Playhouse Theatre and the Omni cinema are also a short walk away, as is Waverley Railway station, the bus link to Edinburgh’s International airport and the main coach Station.

Pleasant walks can be enjoyed at nearby Carlton Hill, taking in Holyrood Park, Salisbury Crags and Arthus’s Seat, while the walkways of the Water of Leith and the Botanic Gardens are also easily reached on foot.

From the top of Leith Walk there is direct access to the A1 leading to East Lothian’s sandy beaches, golf courses and other sporting activities, within a 35 minute drive. The city bypass is also very accessible providing quick and easy routes to the motorway links throughout Scotland and to the south, while Edinburgh’s International Airport is a 20 minute taxi ride away.

Located in the historic UNESCO New Town area of Edinburgh tucked away along a quiet lane off from Northumberland Street, this apartment provides a bit of escape from the hustle and bustle of the city centre despite being within a 10 minute walk of some of Edinburgh’s busiest streets and key visitor locations.

A brisk 5 minute walk away from the doorstep and you are in Stockbridge, a village within the city with many excellent local and bespoke shops, café’s and restaurants. Every Sunday the Farmers Market makes an appearance off Kerr Street in amongst the trees where you can find a variety of local produce and good quallity foods. From here you can walk along the pretty Water’s of Leith to the Gallery of Modern art or down to Leith itself where the Royal Yacht Britannia is moored. On the other side of Stockbridge are the Royal Edinburgh Botanical Gardens well worth an afternoon or two exploring.

The apartment consists of 2 double bedrooms one with a shower en-suite and from the hall there is access to a spacious modern bathroom. The open plan kitchen & living room has views onto the lane and to the gardens of the nearby town houses in Great King Street.

The kitchen is fully furnished with all necessary cookware and plenty of cutlery & crockery to get the chef hat on to whip up any meal, if you find you are able to fit in the time along with trying out the wonderful variety of good restaurants in the surrounding area.

The Puppet Animation Festival provides children and their families some excellent quality time to explore the magical worlds that can be found through a little imagination. It is also the perfect time for parents to find a little peace and quite whilst the children are enthralled by the puppetry.

The annual festival of traditional music and the arts which takes place through out the city at a variety of venues. More than 30 organisations come together to put on foot-stomping ceilidhs, late night concerts, folk clubs, storytelling and workshops by local and international performers.
