This recently refurbished apartment is on the first floor and situated in the historic Grassmarket of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Despite its central position, it is very quiet having triple glazed windows and a bedroom that looks onto a secluded garden. The Grassmarket is a great area to sit outside at one of the many street cafes and watch the world go by. Many people come by on historical tours and you pick up snippets of interesting information as you sip you drinks. There is wealth of independent and interesting shops and boutiques, second hand clothes and book shops. There is also a lot of history to soak up.
The Grassmarket is a great location whether you are here for business, vacation to enjoy the many of the Festivals held in the city, or just for a relaxing weekend. The Conference Centre is within walking distance as are the cinemas, theatres, and the university. From Lothian Road you can pick up buses to most parts of the city.
This is a spacious 1 bedroom apartment which sleeps a maximum of 4. The large bedroom has a kingsize bed, built in wardrobes, and views to the south of the private garden. The living room has double windows with fine views of the Castle and the Grassmarket. It also has the dining area, a double sofa bed and flat screen TV plus DVD player. There are a selection of DVDs, books and games. A single foldaway bed is also available on request. It has been recently redecorated through out and installed with new kitchen, shower room, and heating system. Guests are welcome to use the private garden which is only shared with a few other occupants in the stair.
The facilities include washing machine with dryer, electric oven and ceramic hob, mircowave, there are ample crockery, cutlery and cooking utensils if you want to cook but there are also many good restaurants to choose from minutes from the doorstep. The living room is equipped with flat screen TV, DVD player, and freeview. The use of Wifi internet, towels, linen, heating and lighting are all included in the rental. There are no extra taxes or fees.

We booked this accommodation to experience our first Scottish Christmas and New Year. On arriving at the property the dirty state and condition in the stairwell had us a little concerned and wondering what we had actually booked. But once we were inside the front door our concerns vanished. This place is just delightful and was perfect for our needs. And the location was even better. Rising every morning to a view of the Castle was just lovely. A bus service outside the front door. The supermarket 2 blocks away and an abundance of pubs and restaurants within a few paces of the premises if one does not wish to cook !! Can’t wait to go back and stay there again.
