Regardless of your reasons for coming to stay in Edinburgh, you will find you are never to far from the doorstep of Grassmarket No 5. Centrally based all of the usual necessities, visitor sites and major routes of transport within the city are accessible within a 5-10 minute walk.
The Grassmarket is linked strongly with much of Edinburgh’s past – located just inside both the Flodden and Telfer walls two of Edinburgh’s original city limit walls – parts of which can still be seen around the Grassmarket. Home to a vast array of cafes pubs and restaurants the Grassmarket is ideal for a leisurely café breakfast before venturing out for the day or a drink and a bite to eat in the evening after a day exploring the nooks and crannies of the Old Town.
If your looking for a bit more retail therapy outside of the many bespoke shops of the Old Town then a 5 minute walk will have you down on the edge of the new town, from here Princes St is your first stop for all of your city centre needs with many UK high street shops dotted around. Alternatively if your looking for a theatre or cinema trip to break up your day several can be found dotted around within a 5 minute walk from the Grassmarket.
The apartment itself has a fully kitted out kitchen with all the pots, pans and dishes you should need for getting in some home cooking away from home. There is just the one bedroom here with a double bed and views out onto the castle, the living room area is street side looking out over West Port and has a sofa bed for an extra sleepy body.
If your coming looking to travel further a field by car then we do have secure parking available on request located underneath the courtyard area. As with all our properties towels, linen, heating, lighting, Wifi internet and a starter pack of tea, coffee, milk, local shortbread etc are all included.
