Located within a World Heritage Site, the apartment is within walking distance of some of Edinburgh’s most famous shopping and tourist areas including Princes Street and George Street, with their stylish shops, bars and restaurants, and the Stockbridge area, known for it’s boutique shops, world-class delis and chic cafes.
The main door opens into a small hallway and a flight of stairs leading to the open plan living area and dining room with kitchen off. The living room is the perfect place to relax with 2 comfortable sofas, fireplace, flat screen TV, DVD player and selection of DVDs, iPod speakers and radio, together with a large dining table which seats 6 people. The well equipped kitchen has an electric oven, gas hob, microwave and dishwasher, washing machine/dryer, with cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery provided.
The master bedroom has a kingsize bed and is a very quiet room situated to the back of the property. The second bedroom is a good size and has 2 single extra wide beds and the bathroom is well equipped with a separate bath and shower.
A travel cot and highchair are available on request. Wi-fi internet is included in the rental.
The rates include hot water, electricity, central heating, towels, linen, internet and taxes.
Please note that the apartment is not above Kay’s Bar which is a lovely bar only a couple of minutes walk from the apartment.

Great location, loved being so close to town and to the restaurants of Stockbridge. Would recommend “The Stockbridge Restaurant”! Also Kays Bar down the road does a lovely pint of ale. Cheers Greatbase!!!

Had a great stay at Jamaica Mews, super location and very comfortable. So nice to have some supplies provided on the ‘replace what you’ve used up’ basis, together with lots of useful guidance (the nearby cafe, Leo’s Beanery, was a treat). Really felt at home and part of the real Edinburgh. Greatbase were a pleasure to deal with.
My partner and I stayed at Jamaica Mews for 12 days over the 2012/2013 Christmas & Hogmanay period – and this apartment was PERFECT for our stay. Amazingly comfortable, beautifully furnished and a great location meant we didn’t want to ever leave! We look forward to visiting Edinburgh again, and would love to have Jamaica Mews or another Greatbase apartment as our base again too.
