Both train stations into the capital are about 10 minutes walk making this an ideal base to explore Edinburgh.

A car isn't necessary as most of the main tourist attractions are within easy walking distance and with the amount of road works going on in Edinburgh it's a good idea to not bring one. On street parking is available but costly in the city centre. A multi storey car park with parking at more reasonable rates is situated 5 minutes walk away in the shadow of the castle.
