Our beautiful Albany Lane property is part of a tastefully converted, nineteenth-century warehouse and represents the perfect location for anyone looking for a quiet and comfortable hideaway in the heart of Scotland’s historic capital.
The adjoining street is home to a variety of bars, cafes and bistros, while Princess Street and Edinburgh’s Waverley Station are less than five minutes away. Guests will also benefit from Albany Lane’s proximity to Edinburgh’s new tram network, the terminus of which is located just around the corner on York place and provides hassle-free transport to and from the Airport. Additionally, for those in need of a little retail therapy, the newly renovated St James Centre (slated to open its doors in summer 2020) is Scotland’s largest ever retail-led development and is only moments away.
The property itself is set behind its own high wall and secure gate. Between this and the entrance to the building there is a small patio area with seating where guests can enjoy drinks on a sunny afternoon or evening.
Upon entering the property guests will find themselves in the combined kitchen/living room. The kitchen area has a table with seating for four and is well equipped with gas hob, electric oven, microwave, large fridge, freezer and dishwasher. The living area is stylishly furnished and includes an LED HD TV and DVD player. Also on the ground floor is a toilet/shower room with under-floor heating.
Upstairs the master bedroom boasts an en-suite with under-floor heating and a bath and shower, while the beds can be made up as two singles or one super-king upon request. The second bedroom upstairs comes equipped with a double bed, dresser and wardrobe.
Finally, the garage can be accessed from the kitchen/living area and houses a washing machine and tumble dryer. Please be advised however that while guests are welcome to bring a car the garage is only 14ft6in in length, so may not be appropriate for all vehicles.
