A great blend of convenience and luxury, our Moray Place Major penthouse apartment forms part of a traditional Georgian townhouse on one of the capital’s most exclusive streets.  

Interior layout

Moray Major is a top-floor apartment and can be accessed via the communal stairwell or lift. The flat itself is impeccably finished with modern fittings and furnishings throughout. The kitchen is generously stocked with appliances for even the most dedicated epicurean, and the living/dining area is bright and spacious and even features a wood-burning stove for those quiet nights in. Additionally, there are three double bedrooms (two with super-king beds – one of which can be made up as a twin upon request), four bathrooms and a separate study/TV room.



Despite its quiet, residential appearance, Moray Place is perfectly positioned to take in all that Scotland’s wonderful capital city has to offer. Just a short walk will take guests to the centre of town and all of Edinburgh’s world-renowned tourist attractions. Alternatively, why not take a stroll down the Water of Leith and peruse the local Sunday market in Stockbridge or enjoy some of the area’s independent shops, bars and restaurants.  Paid on-street parking available (though expensive) – free from 6.30pm to 8.30am and on Sundays.


Booking requirements

One member of the booking party must be over 25 years old. We reserve the right to vet any booking. We require names and ages of all guests, as well as addresses and ID.



This apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £500 is required one week before arrival and will be fully refunded pending no damages one week after your departure. Alternatively, we can offer you an insurance policy to cover damages and excess cleaning. The cost of the policy will vary depending on the length of your stay.  Please contact us to book this property.

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in from 16:00 until 22:00, or later by special arrangement.
You will be asked to check-out before 10:30.

We meet and welcome all our guests to introduce you to the apartment, hand over keys and answer any questions. We can also arrange self check-in, please let us know if you would prefer this option.


Luggage Storage

Our guests are welcome to store the luggage at our Greatbase office located at 24 St Stephen Street during our office hours from Monday to Friday free of charge. Please confirm your drop-off time and the collection time if you would like to use this service.
