The main tourist hotspots of Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, and the Scottish Parliament can all be found along the adjacent road. The apartment is also perfectly placed for accessing the business centre areas, including George Street with Charlotte Square and St Andrew Square at either end. There is a wealth of choice in traditional and modern bars, bistros and restaurants all within easy walking distance. The property benefits from being a mere five-minute walk from Waverley train station, where the Airlink bus service to the airport terminates and other buses can take you throughout the city.

The accommodation comprises a shared entrance courtyard, stone stairway, entrance hall, comfortable and light lounge/dining room with small balcony off, modern fitted breakfasting kitchen, bathroom overlooking the tree-lined courtyard, and two bedrooms (one with a large king-size bed and the other with two singles).     It was great to have a more comfortable, less expensive alternative to a hotel for a week long visit. Very nice to have a well equipped kitchen. Despite being so close to many historic sites, it was very quiet and private.

    I’ve stayed at the Royal Mile 2 twice and love it. Wouldn’t consider any other location unless I need a large space. Katie is wonderful and will take excellent care of you.
