Samhuinn Festival

31st October 2011

The Samhuinn Festival, presented by Edinburgh’s Beltane Fire Society, is a modern version of a traditional folk play to mark the end of summer. It takes the form of a medieval procession that snakes its way down the Royal Mile, and includes music, folk dance, physical theatre and fire to illuminate the city. Heralding the beginning of winter, it is a spectacle not to be missed.
