A beautiful and spacious traditional townhouse apartment in the heart of the city.

Built in the mid-18th century during the time of the Scottish Enlightenment, this elegant first-floor Heriot Row townhouse apartment overlooks Queen Street Gardens in the heart of the city, giving it an illusion of being in the countryside rather than the city centre.


The apartment itself retains many of its original features and is traditionally furnished and wonderfully spacious, with high ceilings and windows throughout. The property can accommodate three, with a large double bedroom with a super king-sized bed which can be made up as 2 singles, and a further single bedroom. The south side of the apartment overlooks the private gardens of Queen Street (to which guests have access), while the north side offers views across the city to the Firth of Forth. Perfect for either a short stay or longer stay.

The apartment is well equipped with a washing machine and drying facilities, dishwasher, microwave, iron, TV, DVD player, free WiFi internet, heating and lighting. There is an ample supply of towels and linen which are included in the rental.


This Edinburgh apartment is wonderfully central. A two-minute walk will take you to George Street and all the world-class restaurants, bars and shops the city centre has to offer. In the opposite direction is Stockbridge, with its cafes, restaurants, shops and excellent Sunday Market. Paid on-street parking is free from 5.30pm until 8.30am on weekdays and free all weekend. Booking requirements

One member of the booking party must be over 25 years old. We reserve the right to vet any booking. We require names and ages of all guests, as well as addresses and ID.


This apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £250 is required before arrival and will be fully refunded pending no damages one week after your departure. Alternatively, can we offer you an insurance policy to cover damages and excess cleaning. The cost of the policy will vary depending on the length of your stay.

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in is from 16:00 until 22:00, or later by special arrangement.
You will be asked to check-out before 10:30.

We will welcome you in person to introduce you to the apartment, hand over keys and answer any questions. We can also arrange self check-in—please let us know if you prefer this option.

Luggage Storage

You are welcome to store your luggage free of charge at our Greatbase Office, located at 24 St Stephen Street, during office hours from Monday to Friday. Please confirm your drop-off and collection time if you would like to use this service.
