Our bright and beautiful third-floor Castle Terrace apartment is perfect for larger groups looking to immerse themselves in the historic charms of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Modern furnishings and a light-filled living area make this apartment the ideal place to relax and spend time with family friends - and Castle Terrace's splendid location in the centre of town is excellent for exploring all Edinburgh has to offer.
Interior layout
This is a lovely, contemporary apartment with plenty of space and facilities for all. The centre of the apartment is indubitably the spacious, open-plan living area, which encompasses a beautiful modern kitchen as well as a generously-sized island dining area and a colourful living room.
The living area includes a television and a comfortable sofa. Vibrant artwork creates a cheerful environment, perfect for gathering and spending time with your family and friends. The kitchen is equipped with essentials for your stay, including a microwave, kettle, toaster, refrigerator, hob, and dishwasher.
For sleeping, four luminous double bedrooms are accompanied by two full bathrooms. Ample storage is available in the bedrooms, with one of the bedrooms containing a working desk with a window overlooking the start of Edinburgh’s Old Town. Clean, white walls and modern furnishings create a comfortable and relaxing space for your stay in Edinburgh.


Exterior
Castle Terrace sits right in the shadow of Edinburgh Castle. A short walk will take guests up to the Royal Mile and into the heart of the Old Town, where they can enjoy Edinburgh’s renowned restaurants, bars and world-famous tourist attractions. Additionally, theatregoers will find themselves spoilt for choice, with Usher Hall, the Lyceum, and Traverse Theatre all within a few hundred meters.
The apartment is well-situated for accessing Edinburgh’s many excellent restaurants, with Timberyard, Terra Marique, and Kanpai Sushi just around the corner. For those wishing to make the most of the apartment’s beautiful kitchen, groceries are available at the Sainsbury’s Local just a two-minute walk away, and the Saturday farmers’ market will bring Scotland’s best local products right to Castle Terrace.
Mary’s Milk Bar serves delicious scoops of uniquely flavoured gelato in the Grassmarket, just a five-minute walk away, and book lovers may enjoy browsing the many wonderful secondhand bookshops along West Port, such as Armchair Books.
Please note that there is no parking at the apartment. The nearest long-stay car park is NCP Castle Terrace. You can find more information from our parking guide in Edinburgh. On-street parking is free from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 a.m. from Monday to Saturday, from 6:30 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. from Saturday to Sunday and from 6:30 p.m. until 8:30 a.m. from Sunday to Monday. The apartment is also very close to the long stay car parks located at Riego Street.
Booking requirements
One member of the booking party must be over 25 years old. We reserve the right to vet any booking. We require names and ages of all guests, as well as addresses and ID.
Important
This apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £250 is required and will be fully refunded pending no damages one week after your departure. Alternatively, can we offer you an insurance policy to cover damages and excess cleaning. The cost of the policy will vary depending on the length of your stay. Please contact us if you have any special requirements, and we will do our best to ensure you have a great time with us.

Check-in / Check-out
Check-in is from 16:00 until 22:00, or later by special arrangement.
You will be asked to check-out before 10:30.
We will send you the check-in instructions at least one day prior to your arrival date. It is important to check your email to ensure you have received these instructions before you arrive, as they contain all the necessary details to make your check-in process smooth and efficient. Should you prefer to receive the check-in instructions further in advance, please do not hesitate to let us know. We are more than happy to accommodate your request and ensure you have all the information you need well ahead of time.
Luggage Storage
You are welcome to store your luggage free of charge at our Greatbase Office, located at 24 St Stephen Street, during office hours from Monday to Friday. Please confirm your drop-off and collection time if you would like to use this service.
