Green Cottage is a quiet, self-contained 2-bed holiday home in Edinburgh's Trinity area. This self-catering cottage is the ideal choice for those looking for a relaxing, quiet break, away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre.

While somewhat further afield than our usual locations in Edinburgh, this wonderful holiday cottage is just a half-hour walk or ten-minute bus ride from the heart of the city and may appeal to families or those planning a more extended vacation.

Interior layout

Surrounded by its own private garden and warmed with the charm and luxury of a traditional wood-burning stove, Green Cottage is welcoming, cosy place to while away a wet afternoon or take a break from the stresses of travel. Inside there are two bedrooms, one double and one twin, and a spacious shower room.

The open plan kitchen/living-room is traditionally furnished and equipped with everything you need for your stay. It also features a sofa bed that can be made up for an additional two guests upon request. As with all our properties, towels, linen, Wifi, and a welcome pack of tea, coffee, milk, and local shortbread are all included. The cottage is also equipped with a DVD player and a selection of DVDs and books.

Around and about

The lovely garden grounds include a gated/two-vehicle driveway for guests arriving by car. For those without, the number 23 bus departs regularly from around the corner and runs right through to the city centre.  Trinity is a charming residential area and only a short stroll from the seafront (and some great seafood restaurants!). A 10 minute walk towards the centre of town will take you to Edinburgh’s Royal Botanic Gardens, just one of the many things to do while visiting Edinburgh.

One member of the party must be over 21 years old.


This holiday cottage is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £200 is required and, in the event that there is no damage to the apartment, will be fully refunded one week after your departure.

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in is from 16:00 until 22:00, or later by special arrangement.
You will be asked to check-out before 10:30.

We will welcome you in person to introduce you to the apartment, hand over keys and answer any questions. We can also arrange self check-in—please let us know if you prefer this option.

Luggage Storage

You are welcome to store your luggage free of charge at our Greatbase Office, located at 24 St Stephen Street, during office hours from Monday to Friday. Please confirm your drop-off and collection time if you would like to use this service.
