This Edinburgh holiday home -Circus Lane - forms part of a picturesque, cobbled mews. On the cusp of the New Town and Edinburgh’s affluent Stockbridge area, guests have all the usual city-centre conveniences while retaining the feel of a quiet residential retreat.

Interior layout

The holiday home is accessed by a main door from the lane and features a private, south-facing patio-area where guests can relax or enjoy a drink in the evening sun. Circus Lane also features two double bedrooms (one en-suite), a well-stocked kitchen, a bathroom (with fitted bath) and a bright and comfortably furnished living/dining room with table seating for four.


Interior detail

The holiday apartment with private garden has its own main door.  Stepping inside this property leads you to the hallway and spiral stairs to the upper rooms.  On the ground floor is the utility room, and main bedroom with ensuite shower room. The bedroom is on the south side and catches sun from mid-afternoon to late evening; it is also away from the sound of any traffic which might pass through the lane. From the bedroom you can access the small private garden which is sheltered from the wind by established trees, making it a lovely place to sit out and relax.

In the bedroom there is a TV and digital radio, and ample storage in the chest of drawers and wardrobe. The abundance of wood, paintings of the Orkney Islands, and the profusion of light from the window and glazed door imbue this space with an organic and uplifting vibe.

The utility room adjoining the entrance lobby is equipped with a washing machine and tumble dryer, with a pulley and clothes horse conveniently located alongside. An iron and ironing board are also held here for your convenience.

The upper floor has a double bedroom with a chest of drawers and an additional fold-out single bed in the attached cupboard. The window in this room looks out over the garden and towards the back gardens of large homes on Circus Place. Both bedrooms have hairdryers.

At the turn on the upper landing is the bathroom with fitted bath, from which the lobby leads on to the kitchen and sitting room. A skylight in the kitchen brightens the space, which contains a dishwasher and raised microwave in addition to the essential facilities, making it a great space for cooking.

The sitting room has a wooden dining table seating four in front of the window over the street. This room is decorated in sunset tones matching the painting on the far wall, and has a plush recliner and red sofa with petal-laced matching cushions, flanked by heart-shaped and solar-patterned coffee tables. A flat screen TV with DVD player and an iPod speaker dock occupy the unit in the far corner, while a bookshelf stocked with a range of titles caters for many interests.

Circus Lane is a perfect holiday apartment you shouldn’t miss when you visit Edinburgh.



Circus Lane is just a ten-minute walk from Princes Street and Edinburgh’s central shopping districts. Alternatively, guests can head north to Stockbridge where they can enjoy the farmer’s market on Sunday afternoons or any of the area’s myriad pubs, cafes and boutique shops.


Booking requirements

One member of the booking party must be over 25 years old. We reserve the right to vet any booking. We require names and ages of all guests, as well as addresses and ID. Paid on-street parking (free from 5.30pm until 8.30am and free at weekends).



This apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £250 is required one week before arrival and will be fully refunded pending no damages one week after your departure. Alternatively, can we offer you an insurance policy to cover damages and excess cleaning. The cost of the policy will vary depending on the length of your stay.

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in from 16:00 until 22:00, or later by special arrangement.
You will be asked to check-out before 10:30.

We meet and welcome all our guests to introduce you to the apartment, hand over keys and answer any questions. We can also arrange self check-in, please let us know if you would prefer this option.


Luggage Storage

Our guests are welcome to store the luggage at our Greatbase office located at 24 St Stephen Street during our office hours from Monday to Friday free of charge. Please confirm your drop-off time and the collection time if you would like to use this service.
