Ramsay Gardens is one of Edinburgh’s most prestigious residential areas. Named for its inaugural resident, poet Alan Rlamsay, and built-in the mid-eighteenth century, the apartment block stands in the shadow of the Castle at the top of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile.
This third-floor luxury apartment is accessed via a closed stairwell, which leads to an open-air balcony and the front door. Inside, the apartment is finished to a high standard and has a beguiling mix of contemporary and traditional furnishings. The main living room has a large dining table with seating for eight at one end and a small three-piece suite at the other. The room boasts some of the most extensive and dramatic views available anywhere in Edinburgh, with its decor lending the feeling of a captain’s cabin in an old wooden galleon.
The luxurious master bedroom boasts a king-size bed and plenty of storage space along with direct access to a fabulous en-suite bathroom equipped with a shower and stand-alone bathtub.
The two remaining bedrooms (one twin and one double, both of which also feature en-suite facilities) sit on the other side of the building and look across to Edinburgh’s Iconic Castle.
Finally, the fully-equipped kitchen is modern and features a range cooker so you can cook up a storm when all the eating out becomes a bit too much.
The comfortable sitting room is an ideal place to unwind after a long day of sightseeing. Lavishly decorated in rich purple with velvet curtains and boutique-style wallpaper, it belies the historic nature of the building. The master bedroom shares the living room’s spectacular vista and is a cool, bright space. It features a skylight directly over the bed which can be opened or closed remotely… perfect for those lazy mornings in bed.

The property has Wi-Fi, a hairdryer, an iron and an ironing board. Please note that there is no parking at the apartment. The nearest long-stay car park is at Waverley Station or Castle Terrace car park.
One member of the booking party must be at least 25 years old.
This holiday apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £500 is required prior to arrival and, in the event that there is no damage to the apartment, will be fully refunded one week after your departure.
- This apartment accommodates a maximum of 6 guests. No unregistered guests are allowed to visit or stay overnight.
- Parties, events, and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited. All guests must comply with our other house rules regarding noise and the neighborhood.
- Please do not engage in any anti-social behaviour. Guests must not behave in a way which causes, or is likely to cause, alarm, distress, nuisance or annoyance to any person; or which amounts to harassment of any person; or causes damage to anyone’s property. This includes high levels of noise and drunken or threatening behaviour, which is strictly prohibited.
- No pets are allowed.
- Please be respectful of your neighbours and keep any form of noise to a minimum between the hours of 9:00 pm and 7:30 a.m.
- Strictly no smoking, vaping, candles, or incense burners. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment or outside the apartment building.

You will be asked to check-out before 10:30.
We will welcome you in person to introduce you to the apartment, hand over keys and answer any questions. We can also arrange self check-in—please let us know if you prefer this option.
You are welcome to store your luggage free of charge at our Greatbase Office, located at 24 St Stephen Street, during office hours from Monday to Friday. Please confirm your drop-off and collection time if you would like to use this service.
