A bright and comfortable apartment just off the Royal Mile and a short walk from Waverley Train Station.
Our Royal Mile apartment is part of a picturesque and historic courtyard in the heart of the Old Town and is an ideal base for those intent on taking in all that Scotland’s wonderful capital has to offer.
This bright and tastefully decorated flat is on the first floor above ground level, with two bedrooms (one king sized and one twin) and a sofa bed in the living room that can be prepared for an additional guest. There is also a kitchen, bathroom and comfortable living/dining area with a small balcony overlooking a tree-lined square.
Chessel’s Court dates back to the 1700s and is steeped in local history. An open, tree-lined green marks the middle of the courtyard, while guests also have access to a private garden/growing area that is shared between the residents of the building. The adjacent Royal Mile runs from the Palace of Holyroodhouse all the way up to Edinburgh Castle (for about a mile, unsurprisingly), and is littered with bars, restaurants and independent shops. Why not head up to St. Giles Cathedral or drop in on a whisky bar and sample some of Scotland’s golden elixirs? No parking in the courtyard. The nearest long-stay car park is at St John’s Hill, which is less than a 5 minute walk away.
One member of the booking party must be over 25 years old. We reserve the right to vet any booking. We require the names and ages of all guests, as well as addresses and ID.
This holiday apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £250 is required and will be fully refunded pending no damages one week after your departure. Alternatively, we can offer you an insurance policy to cover damages and excess cleaning. The cost of the policy will vary depending on the length of your stay.

Check-in is from 16:00 until 22:00, or later by special arrangement.
You will be asked to check-out before 10:30.
We will welcome you in person to introduce you to the apartment, hand over keys and answer any questions. We can also arrange self check-in—please let us know if you prefer this option.
You are welcome to store your luggage free of charge at our Greatbase Office, located at 24 St Stephen Street, during office hours from Monday to Friday. Please confirm your drop-off and collection time if you would like to use this service.
