Charming Holiday Cottage in Edinburgh with free parking
Charming and spacious garden cottage, originally built as a billiard room and summer house. In addition to 1 double bedroom and a shower room, the large open living/dining/kitchen space features a light-filled cupola, wooden floors, stained glass windows, and a wood burning stove.
The cottage is a charming mix of quirkiness, vintage grandeur and modern convenience. We think it may have been the summer house of the family who originally owned the main house (which is Georgian) and was added on as part of a makeover in the late 1800s. Please note that the cottage can only be accessed by walking through the adjoining garage of the main house.
There is a carpeted double bedroom with an adjoining shower-room.
The main living area has two double sofa beds with sprung mattresses, which will comfortably accommodate a family or a group of friends (though it should be noted that the single, en-suite shower room and WC can only be accessed by walking through the bedroom).
There is a dining table in the bay window with seating for six and a modern functional kitchen with a dishwasher, induction hob, and combined microwave/oven.
There is a Sonos system with online streaming and for the winter months, there is a wood-burning stove in addition to a combi boiler for heating. If you would like to use the wood-burning stove, firewood logs can be purchased from the shops nearby.
Finally, we’re happy to report that your four-legged friends are welcome in our home! If you do plan on bringing your dog, please let us know in advance and be sure to follow the house rules related to pets during your stay.
