Located in a residential area of Edinburgh, this first floor two-bedroom self-catering holiday accommodation is the perfect holiday apartment to live life like a local with the added convenience of being close to transport links to whizz you into town when you want to do a bit of sight-seeing. Perfect for those looking for a short term let or holiday accommodation in the city with the benefit of a bit of peace and quiet at the end of the day.

Interior layout

Sleeping up to 3 people, this charming first floor holiday flat in Edinburgh boasts typical features of classic Edinburgh properties, but has been decorated with contemporary and light-hearted touches. Entering into a bright and light-filled hallway, you encounter a beautiful open plan kitchen and living space making for an ideal setting to relax and unwind after a busy day of sight-seeing. The open place space in separated into two distinct sections – the living area with two sofas and a coffee table and the fully equipped kitchen.

The kitchen is the perfect place to cook a meal together, with all useful appliances present including hob, oven, fridge, microwave, toaster and freezer and kettle so you can make yourself right at home the moment you arrive with a proper cup of tea. The wood dining table and chairs provide ample space to sit around the table and enjoy sharing a meal together, with seating for six people.

Along the hallway you will find the delightfully light master bedroom which is furnished with a double bed and plenty of storage space to hang up your clothes and feel right at home. There is also an en-suite bathroom for added convenience complete with modern shower and decorated in a jazzy pop of green!

The second bedroom has a nifty daybed big enough to sleep one adult or child and there is also the added convenience of an extra bathroom with a bath and over-head shower.

Towels and linen are supplied and a high chair and travel cot are available by request. If you need a travel cot and/or high chair for your little one, please request the travel cot and/or high chair at least three days in advance of your arrival date. Be sure to bring your own linen for the travel cot as we do not have the linen for the cot.The travel cot comes equipped with a standard UK lightweight foldable mattress. However, if you prefer an additional mattress for extra comfort, please bring that along as well.

Located on Newhaven Road in the affluent Trinity district, the apartment is just 2.5 miles northeast of Edinburgh’s city center. The nearby areas of Canonmills, Leith Walk, and Stockbridge are easily accessible and offer a variety of independent shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars. While slightly further afield than most of our self-catering accommodation, Newhaven Road is nonetheless ideally suited for those who want the convenience of being close to the centre of town, while enjoying a more relaxed and residential feel.

A brisk fifteen minute walk will take guests to the buzzy Leith Walk district replete with restaurants, bars and perfect little cafes for people watching. A twenty minute walk in the other direction takes you to the historic port of Leith and The Shore, where options for delicious Scottish seafood abound. Victoria Park is only a six-minute walk away, providing a tranquil green space to enjoy. This inviting flat combines convenience, comfort, and a prime location, making it an excellent choice for your stay in Edinburgh.

You can take Lothian bus 11 to Princes Street and city centre, or bus 7 and 14 to Edinburgh New Town, city centre and Old Town (South Bridge and North Bridge). The bus 11 stop is just 2 minutes walk and bus 7 and 14 stop are just 3 – 4 minutes from the flat. For those arriving Edinburgh by plane, the apartment is around 9.8 miles from the airport. For those arriving Edinburgh by train and get off at the Waverley train station, the apartment is around 1.7 miles from the train station.

The Trinity area itself is a gem, offering a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy leisurely strolls along the waterfront, visit the nearby Royal Botanic Garden, or explore the local cafes and boutique shops. With its vibrant ambiance, convenient location, and proximity to both nature and city attractions, this holiday flat on Newhaven Road is an ideal choice for anyone looking to enjoy an unforgettable stay in Edinburgh.

Booking requirements

One member of the booking party must be at least 25 years old.

Important

This holiday apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £250 is required prior to arrival and, in the event that there is no damage to the apartment, will be fully refunded one week after your departure.

Please kindly note that the apartment is on the 1st floor and the building has no lift. Therefore, it is not wheelchair accessible and not suitable for anyone who cannot climb the stairs.

House rules

  • This apartment accommodates a maximum of 3 guests. No unregistered guests are allowed to visit or stay overnight.
  • Parties, events, and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited. All guests must comply with our other house rules regarding noise and the neighborhood.
  • Please do not engage in any anti-social behaviour. Guests must not behave in a way which causes, or is likely to cause, alarm, distress, nuisance or annoyance to any person; or which amounts to harassment of any person; or causes damage to anyone’s property. This includes high levels of noise and drunken or threatening behaviour, which is strictly prohibited.
  • No pets are allowed.
  • Please be respectful of your neighbours and keep any form of noise to a minimum between the hours of 10:00 pm and 7:30 a.m.
  • Strictly no smoking, vaping, candles, or incense burners. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment.

You are welcome to store your luggage free of charge at our Greatbase Office, located at 24 St Stephen Street, during office hours from Monday to Friday. Please confirm your drop-off and collection time if you would like to use this service.
