From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted by characterful interiors that set the scene for a relaxed stay.

Interior layout

In the open-plan living room, cosy seating is centred around a Smart TV, which is complemented by expansive corner windows that bring in plenty of light. The result is a space with an airy and refreshing feel, making it a fantastic unwinding zone after a long day of urban adventures.

Positioned just off the living area, the dining and kitchen spaces are well equipped for everyday cooking and wholesome mealtimes. You’ll have all the main appliances you need, including a hob, fridge, microwave, oven and kettle, as well as cookware, crockery and utensils. The dining table seats up to 4 guests and offers an intimate spot for shared meals and conversation.

Designed with comfort in mind, the master bedroom combines a soothing colour palette with stylish details to create a refined and relaxing space. Its double bed is accompanied by bedside tables, storage and a Smart TV, while the adjoining ensuite bathroom adds an extra touch of convenience.

Through in the second bedroom, you’ll find a bright and inviting space with a double bed, offering another comfortable place to rest.

The hallway shower room is modern, featuring a walk-in shower, heated towel rail and toilet. Finished in a neutral style, it offers a fresh and practical space to get ready for the day.

Towels and linen are supplied. If you need a travel cot and/or highchair for your little one, please request the travel cot and/or highchair at least three days in advance of your arrival date. Be sure to bring your own linen for the travel cot as we do not have the linen for the cot. The travel cot comes equipped with a standard UK lightweight foldable mattress. However, if you prefer an additional mattress for extra comfort, please bring that along as well. If you require any additional travel cots or highchairs, this will incur a £20 charge.

Situated in Edinburgh’s vibrant Quartermile area, Simpson Loan offers an outstanding base for enjoying the city’s highlights.

The Meadows is just a stone’s throw away, while the Old Town, the Royal Mile and Edinburgh Castle are all within a mile’s stroll, placing some of Edinburgh’s most iconic sights right on your doorstep. From there, you can also discover St Giles’ Cathedral, explore the National Museum of Scotland and admire the Palace of Holyroodhouse.

Getting around from Simpson Loan is simple, whether you prefer to explore on foot or use the nearby Lothian Buses services. Princes Street is less than a 25-minute walk away, while bus routes 23 and 27 offer a convenient 15-minute journey. George Street, the Old Town and the New Town are all also easy to reach from there, giving you plenty of choice when planning your time in the city.

Dining options are plentiful in the surrounding area, with everything from relaxed cafés and casual lunch spots to stylish restaurants and welcoming pubs. Important

This holiday apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £250 is required prior to arrival and, in the event that there is no damage to the apartment, will be fully refunded one week after your departure.

Please kindly note that the apartment is on the 3rd floor. Therefore, it is not wheelchair accessible and not suitable for anyone who cannot climb the stairs.

House rules

• This apartment accommodates a maximum of 4 guests. No unregistered guests are allowed to visit or stay overnight.
• Parties, events, and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited. All guests must comply with our other house rules regarding noise and the neighborhood.
• Please do not engage in any anti-social behaviour. Guests must not behave in a way which causes, or is likely to cause, alarm, distress, nuisance or annoyance to any person; or which amounts to harassment of any person; or causes damage to anyone’s property. This includes high levels of noise and drunken or threatening behaviour, which is strictly prohibited.
• No pets are allowed.
• Please be respectful of your neighbours and keep any form of noise to a minimum between the hours of 10:00 pm and 8:00 a.m.
• Strictly no smoking, vaping, candles, or incense burners. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment.

Check-in is from 16:00 until 22:00, or later by special arrangement.
You will be asked to check-out before 10:30.

It is important to check your email to ensure you have received these instructions before you arrive, as they contain all the necessary details to make your check-in process smooth and efficient. Should you prefer to receive the check-in instructions further in advance, please do not hesitate to let us know. We are more than happy to accommodate your request and ensure you have all the information you need well ahead of time.

Luggage Storage

You are welcome to store your luggage free of charge at our Greatbase Office, located at 24 St Stephen Street, during office hours from Monday to Friday. Please confirm your drop-off and collection time if you would like to use this service.
