You’re in a wonderfully accessible spot which is unrivalled for prime city-centre living, with local cafes, shops, and everyday essentials close by. Plus, regular bus routes make travelling around the city stress-free, so you can explore Edinburgh at your own pace. There’s nowhere better to kick back and relax after a fulfilling day of adventures.
Interior layout
From the second you walk in, it’s hard not to be drawn in by the apartment’s stylish interiors which set the tone for the rest of this characterful home.
With ample sofa seating, the open plan living space is a lovely place to unwind. Guests can also enjoy a Smart TV for added comfort and entertainment.


Adjoined to the living room, the kitchen and dining area continue the apartment’s classic feel. The cooking quarters is well equipped for preparing home meals, with everything you need to prepare anything from a simple breakfast to an indulgent evening feast. It’s fitted with an induction hob, microwave, oven, fridge, kettle and toaster. Cookware, crockery and utensils are also provided.
The dining area offers a memorable setting to sit down and enjoy food with family and friends, all while taking in the views. There’s little that compares to a beautiful view and your favourite drink to round off the evening! (Please note that the Castle is only viewable through one of the windows, nearby the dining area.)



The first bedroom features a double bed and a warm moody atmosphere, with deep tones and traditional furnishings adding to its cosy appeal. In the second bedroom, a pair of single beds make it a great option for friends, children, or additional guests. Styled in the same inviting manner, it offers a snug space to settle into.


The bathroom is neatly presented and features a walk-in shower and toilet.

Towels and linen are supplied. If you need a travel cot and/or highchair for your little one, please request the travel cot and/or highchair at least three days in advance of your arrival date. Be sure to bring your own linen for the travel cot as we do not have the linen for the cot. The travel cot comes equipped with a standard UK lightweight foldable mattress. However, if you prefer an additional mattress for extra comfort, please bring that along as well. If you require any additional travel cots or highchairs, this will incur a £20 charge.
This holiday apartment is not permitted to host stag or hen parties, nor any other type of party. Smoking is strictly forbidden inside the apartment and in the building. Pets are not permitted to visit or stay.

Navigating from Johnston Terrace proves effortless, whether strolling or hopping on a swift bus. The Old Town, encompassing the Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, and National Museum of Scotland, remains readily available within a 10-minute walk. Princes Street lies 0.5 miles away for retail therapy and castle panoramas, while George Street delivers dining, nightlife, and sophisticated stores, all inside a 15-minute wander. Enveloped by historic facades, the Grassmarket awaits just a 3-minute stroll away, where you’ll find vibrant markets and charming pubs.
Opting for public transport? Hop on the 9, 23 and 27 bus routes from stops only a 5-minute walk away on Victoria Street, which run efficiently through the Old and New Towns in 20 – 30 minutes, connecting the city’s key attractions and landmarks.

One member of the booking party must be at least 25 years old.
Important
This holiday apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £250 is required prior to arrival and, in the event that there is no damage to the apartment, will be fully refunded one week after your departure.
Please note that the main entrance door is accessed on a floor that is up 1 flight of stairs. Additionally, the apartment is on the 3rd floor and accessed up 3 flights of stairs from the entrance level. Therefore, the apartment is not wheelchair accessible and not suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
House rules
- This apartment accommodates a maximum of 4 guests. No unregistered guests are allowed to visit or stay overnight.
- Parties, events, and large gatherings of any kind are strictly prohibited. All guests must comply with our other house rules regarding noise and the neighborhood.
- Please do not engage in any anti-social behaviour. Guests must not behave in a way which causes, or is likely to cause, alarm, distress, nuisance or annoyance to any person; or which amounts to harassment of any person; or causes damage to anyone’s property. This includes high levels of noise and drunken or threatening behaviour, which is strictly prohibited.
- No pets are allowed.
- Please be respectful of your neighbours and keep any form of noise to a minimum between the hours of 9:00 pm and 7:30 a.m.
- Strictly no smoking, vaping, candles, or incense burners. Smoking is not permitted in the apartment or outside the apartment building.

Check-in is from 16:00 until 22:00, or later by special arrangement.
You will be asked to check-out before 10:30.
We will send you the check-in instructions at least one day prior to your arrival date. It is important to check your email to ensure you have received these instructions before you arrive, as they contain all the necessary details to make your check-in process smooth and efficient. Should you prefer to receive the check-in instructions further in advance, please do not hesitate to let us know. We are more than happy to accommodate your request and ensure you have all the information you need well ahead of time.
Luggage Storage
You are welcome to store your luggage free of charge at our Greatbase Office, located at 24 St Stephen Street, during office hours from Monday to Friday. Please confirm your drop-off and collection time if you would like to use this service.
