Interior layout

The apartment’s interior has been recently refurbished and boasts a graceful, modish elegance. The blue/grey colour palette gives the flat a bright and clean feel, while the traditional and contemporary aspects of the apartment have been juxtaposed to great effect. Original cornicing in the front bedroom and living room lend a classic air to the property, while drop down lighting in the hallway and stylish quartz worktops in the kitchen leave guests in no doubt that this is a bespoke and impeccably finished space.

Upon entering the flat guests are met with a traditional entrance vestibule, tiled in the Victorian style. Beyond this the chic and inviting hallway with custom lighting and herringbone floors sets the scene for what’s to come.

In all, the flat comprises three bedrooms, one king-size and two double. The first bedroom is bright and airy, and has double windows overlooking Warrender Park Road, while the newly fitted en-suite facilities are stylish and well-lit. Towards the rear of the apartment guests will find the other two double bedrooms. Made up in a similar style, these convey a smart, comfortable ambiance. The main bathroom sits off the hallway and boasts a walk-in shower.

The first bedroom has a king size bed and ensuite shower room.
The second bedroom has a double bed.
The third bedroom has a double bed.
Ensuite shower room in the first bedroom with a kingsize bed.
The walk-in shower with handheld shower head in the hallway.

The living room, at once cosy and sophisticated, also overlooks Warrender park road and is the perfect place to relax after a hard day’s sight-seeing. Features include a 56 inch wall-mounted television and an electric stove, ideal for those quiet nights in.

The kitchen/dining room continues in the aforementioned style, with white, quartz worktops and a coloured glass back-splash. A breakfast bar with barstool seating for three makes for the perfect to place to perch with a morning coffee, while the dining area boasts a dining table with seating for six, overlooked by  a wall mounted 36 inch TV.

Around and about

While slightly further afield than most of our self-catering accommodation, Warrender Park is nonetheless ideally suited for those who want the convenience of being close to the centre of town, while enjoying a more relaxed and residential feel.

Heading north for a couple of minutes, guests will find themselves in The Meadows, an expansive park popular among locals and students, where guests can enjoy a barbeque or engage in a spot of sunbathing (weather permitting). If one is of a more active leaning, why not head to the 600 year old golf tavern and hire some clubs for a quick round of pitch and put on the Bruntsfield lnks, one of the world’s oldest courses.

The apartment is also particularly convenient for prospective students or visiting parents, with the main University of Edinburgh campus just across the meadows at George Square.  Additionally, the main campus for Edinburgh Napier University, situated just past Holy Corner in Bruntsfield, is just a ten minute walk away.

And if the call of the big city lights proves too much to resist, a fifteen minute walk through the Meadows will take guests to the Edinburgh’s historic Old Town where one can pay a visit to Edinburgh Castle or take a stroll along the Royal Mile, The historic thoroughfare that connects the Castle to the city’s royal residence, The Palace of Holyrood House. And if this seems a bit too touristy, why not just settle down in the Grassmarket and enjoy some traditional fare and a well-earned cold drink.
