A stylish and cosy modern mews cottage in the heart of the New Town

Part of a tastefully converted 19th Century warehouse, Albany Lane offers a quiet and comfortable hide-away in the heart of Scotland’s historic capital, while still having all the buzz right on your doorstep. It also has the added bonus of a private garage and patio area.

Interior layout

The heart of this apartment is the open-plan living and kitchen area with large glass doors leading out to the patio area and bringing in plenty of light. Upstairs, the master bedroom (with en-suite bathroom) can be made up as a King size bed or twin and there is a 2nd double bedroom. An additional shower room is on the ground floor. The private garage space can be accessed from the main living area. The garage itself can accommodate a vehicle up to 4.4m in length so may be unsuitable for larger cars.


A private patio area provides a space for enjoying breakfast, or maybe a sundowner outside. The adjoining Broughton street is home to a variety of bars, cafes and bistros, while Princes Street and Edinburgh’s Waverley Station are less than five minutes away making it particularly convenient for guests arriving by train.

Booking requirements

One member of the booking party must be over 25 years old. We reserve the right to vet any booking. We require names and ages of all guests, as well as addresses and ID.


This apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £250 is required one week before arrival and will be fully refunded pending no damages one week after your departure. Alternatively, can we offer you an insurance policy to cover damages and excess cleaning. The cost of the policy will vary depending on the length of your stay.

Check-in / Check-out

Check-in from 16:00 until 22:00, or later by special arrangement.
You will be asked to check-out before 10:30.

We meet and welcome all our guests to introduce you to the apartment, hand over keys and answer any questions. We can also arrange self check-in, please let us know if you would prefer this option.

Luggage Storage

Our guests are welcome to store the luggage at our Greatbase office located at 24 St Stephen Street during our office hours from Monday to Friday free of charge. Please confirm your drop-off time and the collection time if you would like to use this service.
