Situated in a quiet courtyard just off Edinburgh’s historic Royal Mile, our Old Town apartment is perfect for tourists looking to make the most of the city’s world-famous attractions.
Our Old Town flat is comfortable and convenient, and a great place to unwind after a hard day’s exploring. It is situated on the second floor and accessed via stairs. The interior comprises two bedrooms (one large double and one twin), a bright and airy living room (with a small balcony) and a bathroom and kitchen.
An open, tree-lined green marks the middle of the historic courtyard, while guests also have access to a private garden/growing area that is shared between the residents of the building. Chessel’s Court is separated from the high street by a small arcade. Once on the Royal Mile guests can stroll down the hill to the Palace of Holyrood House or follow the high street up to Edinburgh Castle. Its central location makes it the ideal choice for experiencing Edinburgh’s world-famous Fringe Festival or even the street party on Hogmanay. Additionally, the apartment is just a short walk from Edinburgh’s Waverley station, and so is particularly handy for those arriving by train. There is no parking in the courtyard. The nearest on-street car park is at St John’s Hill which is less than 5 minutes walk.
One member of the booking party must be over 25 years old. We reserve the right to vet any booking. We require names and ages of all guests, as well as addresses and ID.
This apartment is not suitable for stag or hen parties. A damage deposit of £250 is required one week before arrival and will be fully refunded pending no damages one week after your departure. Alternatively, can we offer you an insurance policy to cover damages and excess cleaning. The cost of the policy will vary depending on the length of your stay.

We meet and welcome all our guests to introduce you to the apartment, hand over keys and answer any questions. We can also arrange self check-in, please let us know if you would prefer this option.
Our guests are welcome to store the luggage at our Greatbase office located at 24 St Stephen Street during our office hours from Monday to Friday free of charge. Please confirm your drop-off time and the collection time if you would like to use this service.
