Edinburgh plays host each Spring to a two-week science extravaganza, with the Edinburgh International Science Festival.
From the 23rd March- 7th April you can take part in over 200 events, workshops and discussions, celebrating all the wonders, inventions and innovations of science and technology. And there’s even more cause for celebration this year, as it’s the festival’s 25th birthday.
Highlights include Eating Aliens, where you can munch on a selection of invasive species, Fit For Orbit which determines whether you are suited to space travel and a highly anticipated three story balloon sculpture by New York based artist, Jason Hackenwerth.
It’s a spectacular family event to get involved with, especially as the City Arts Centre is transformed into hands-on science playground. Visit www.sciencefestival.co.uk to request a brochure and book tickets.
